Susan Bellissimo This is an oldie but a goodie, my son loves it! Great for adult stress relief too! Does anyone remember the old newspaper ink transfer trick?

Mama Silly putty is one of those toys that you hope will never go away. I remember getting some on Sundays when my dad would pick up the Sunday paper and go straight to the comics sections...flatten out the silly putty and press it over the comics. It always amazed me how it would lift off the picture from the paper.

on the go mom My kids love this, however it is not quite like the original silly puddy. It does almost everything that the original did except does not pick up pictures/type from newpaper. This was one of my favorite things about silly puddy so I was a bit disappointed. It still streaches, bounces, blows bubbles, and snaps.

oldtimer I did not know they still made silly putty. I use to love to play with this when I was a kid. I was buying items for a child in war torn county. I got school supplies for a boy & girl. I saw the silly putty and that that would add a little fun.

I did not open the silly putty but if Staples had had another one I would have purchased it for my grand baby. so I could play with it also...Somethings you just never out grow..

Really hoping the children that receives my gift enjoys silly putty as much as I did.

Violinsolo There seems to be too little putty inside the box. Granted it is a small one, and not very expensive, but my kids lost most of it quite easily. They should offer a bigger pack with a bit more stuff inside it for the kids to play with. Other than this, the product itself seems quite fun and my kids had a lot of fun stretching and pulling it. They also made a lot of forms with them. It does not seem to dry up too soon, so that is a plus point over more regular forms such as play doh. I might experiment with this for some modeling myself.

Lori Are you kidding? This product has been around forever, and it stands up to the test of time! It's the ultimate in creativity. My kids love transferring comic strips to it as well as sculpting it into weird shapes. It's great for those fidgety waits at the doctor's office and car rides. Now if I could only get it it to stick to carpeting.

Mommie Dearest Nothing like the original - way too small a quantity to make much, did not "copy" print from newspaper like original stuff, got very stringy which made it quite messy. We threw it away.

Silly Putty Silly Putty - my niece played with this for hours. The next day she was playing with it again. Then her sister joined in. They made it into a pizza, a mustache, so many things that I can't remember now. They asked if we could go back to Staples and buy more. I highly recommend keeping silly putty on your shelves.

JR OK, so this is the silly putty everyone remembers and kids still love it. My son actually cried when he couldn't find it, well, he was over tired at the time.
